Zaleca się, aby rękawice i obuwie, jeżeli stanowią integralną część odzieży, podlegały takim samym wymaganiom dotyczącym chemicznej bariery ochronnej jak płaski wyrób włókienniczy. Niniejsza norma jest normą odniesienia, która może być powoływana w całości lub w części w normach dotyczących właściwości użytkowych odzieży chroniącej przed substancjami chemicznymi.
